The Hanged Man in They Hunger Episode 1: part 2

 
"Do not ask for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee..."
After The Hanged Man survives falling off a... reasonably high up place, he treks his way back to the sewer he crawled out of to find a way back to the highway.

References
The Addams family:
 The Hanged Man refers to the zombies as "The Addams family."

The Walking Dead:
 The Hanged Man taunts a zombie by shouting "Yeah, you better run!" simular to Daryl Dixson in The Walking Dead.

Batman:
The Hanged Man says that he has "The arsenal of a Batman villain referencing The Penguin and mocks the villain's preference.

Zombie lore:
The Hanged Man questions how a headless zombie can exist several times.
The Hanged Man also asks what rules apply in They Hunger whether they are Romero rules or not.

The Corrupt Regulators:
The Hanged Man after 3 sucessful kills says "Noak eat your heart out!" in reference to Sex1 Sn1per.

Dr Who:
The Hanged Man in an ongoing joke asks for the Judoon to help him on the radio.

They Hunger Episode 1




The Hanged Man is back for a Halloween play-through of "They Hunger."

When The Hanged Man takes a lovely evening drive, he is alarmed to discover that he really should have insured his car as it is hit by a lightning bolt, spins out of control and crashes in a river.

The Hanged Man taking refuge in a nearby church discovers a bigger problem than the state of his car. Now the state of the entire world is in the question!

"When there's no more room in hell, then the dead will walk walk the earth"

After escaping a car accident, The Hanged Man fights his way through an undercroft only to discover that the hell is full and the dead are coming back!

Armed with only an umbrella The Hanged Man must find his way to safety.

References:

Doctor who: 
The Hanged Man makes several references to 'the rain going up' and even blames the "Judoon" for the outbreak. This is a reference to the Doctor who episode Smith and Jones in which aliens known as the "Judoon" kidnap the earth by making it rain upwards.

The Wire:
 The Hanged Man whistles a tune mimicking Omar Little from The Wire, he does this several times.

The Walking Dead: 
Uppon entering the church The Hanged Man asks a portrait of Jesus if he is "Taking requests" like Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead.
Zombies are often referred to as "Walkers."

To kill a mocking bird:
The Hanged Man refers to a zombie who was hiding behind a door as "Boo Radley."

After crashing his car in a river, The Hanged Man ventures his way through the undercroft of an old church. He quickly discovers that Hell is full and the bell tolls for him now.

The Hanged Man must fight through many of the undead horde, fighting his way up the hierarchy to face a threat not lesser, not greater... but equal to him.
This video series started on October 1st and is ongoing every weekday until October 31st 2012.
